When given privlidges on mIRC, keeping your name registered is key so that nobody else steals and uses your name.

To register your nick on mIRC, click the server window and type'/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL'

Where PASSWORD would be a password followed by a space and then your e-mail. Everytime you enter the channel you
can Identify yourself by typing '/nickserv identify PASSWORD' Without the ' of course. PASSWORD would be your password 
that you registered with. Some IRC applications like Sysreset, allow for channel autojoins, where everytime you start mIRC
you're automatically joining the server and channel. Enjoy!
